ARG’s principals are Patrice August-Louper and Ryan C. Louper. ARG operates a full service Real Estate brokerage in accordance with the applicable laws and rules and regulations of the Louisiana Real Estate Commission (LREC). ARG’s headquarters is based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. One of ARG’s business strategies for growth is to align and partner with the corporate community to compete for relocation services opportunities from other corporate entities. In addition, ARG is building relationships in the Mississippi Gulf Coast area to coincides was the need for rapid redevelopment of that vibrant market.Management TeamIts founder, Patrice August-Louper, a licensed Real Estate Broker and Certified Residential Broker (CRB), leads the August Realty Group. A registered licensed Realtor since 1985, August-Louper has gained a broad range of experience, including single-family housing, community redevelopment projects, as well as commercial and industrial property transactions. Currently the firm has three licensed Real Estate Associates and one Sponsoring Broker. She is a hands-on practitioner who has provided sales, marketing, consulting and advisory services to individuals, businesses, organizations and agencies in both the public and private sector. Highly regarded in the Real Estate industry, she is a client-focused professional who consistently performs to “best of class” standards.Ms. August-Louper is currently Principal and Broker of August Realty Group, LLC. The firm specializes in sales and marketing of residential and commercial real estate properties. Prior to becoming a Broker, Ms. August-Louper sold real estate for Merrill Lynch Realty and later Prudential Louisiana Properties. Her success there earned her high ranking in the top 6% of the company and membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Club. In marketing high-end real estate properties, her clients have included top corporate and government executives as well as celebrities in professional sports and the entertainment industry.Ms. August-Louper worked as Deputy Director of the Community Development Corporations of New Orleans. In this agency, she developed and managed the Emergency Rehabilitation Program for the Mayor’s Division of Housing and Neighborhood Development. Her expertise in financing, development and community revitalization teamed her with entities such as the City of New Orleans, HUD, FANNIE MAE, FREDDIE MAC and many leading financial institutions.August-Louper is also a Mortgage Originator and is currently an Appraiser Trainee, thus having the ability to provide turnkey services to her customers. Ms. August-Louper studied Business Administration and Computer Science, respectively at Xavier University, and Delgado Community College, both in New Orleans. She is a Licensed Real Estate Broker who has received extensive formal Real Estate training. She has earned the coveted Certified Residential Broker (CRB) designation as well as the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designation. She also serves as Chairperson of the Southeast Louisiana Black Chamber of Commerce and is an active alumnus and board member of the New Orleans Leadership Institute sponsored by the New Orleans Regional Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, as a partner in the New Orleans Partners in Home Ownership Program, ARG provided exclusive marketing services on the Rivers Frederick Square Development, including the planning and re-development of 24 new residential properties which served as a hub for redevelopment of a declining neighborhood. To further evidence the company’s community spirit, ARG has conducted seminars for first time homebuyers at the House Buyers Convention, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). ARG also has provided similar services to a variety of non-profit organizations throughout the Greater New Orleans metropolitan area.Vincent T. SylvainVincent T. Sylvain is a licensed Realtor with the August Realty Group and a member of the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS and the National Association of REALTORS. Sylvain earned a Master of Science in Urban Studies from the University of New Orleans College of Urban and Public Affairs. Sylvain also serves as regional director of the National Coalition for Black Civic Participation’s Rebuild Hope Now Campaign, a comprehensive effort undertaken by African American led organizations to address black voter turnout in the New Orleans area as well as other issues related to relief, recovery, and rebuilding in the Gulf Coast caused by the catastrophes of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005.Additionally, Mr. Sylvain is president of Policamp, Inc., a local provider of turnkey Web-based Internet Marketing Services in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast Region. Sylvain has successfully used Internet marketing to help promote the campaigns of an U.S. Senator, a Governor, a Mayor, civic initiatives and a host of judicial and other elected officials. He is also the publisher of The New Orleans Agenda, a New Orleans-based online newsletter which is fast becoming the local leader in providing information on New Orleans’ faith-based entities, community groups, professional organizations, and arts & cultural institutions. His work following the hurricane was recently recognized by New Orleans Data News Weekly with the presentation of the “Beacon in the Darkness” award as well as honored by the Urban League of Greater New Orleans as a “Golden Gala” recipient for the linkage he provided hurricane survivors in the aftermath of Katrina. Sylvain also received the “Spirit of Democracy” award from the National Coalition for Black Civic Participation and its 80-plus member organizations for his role in assuring access to the ballot by displaced voters. Sylvain served as the Executive Assistant to Marc H. Morial, Mayor, City of New Orleans, for the Mayor’s Division of Housing and Neighborhood Development from May 1994 to May 2002. Under Mr. Sylvain’s charge was the accomplishment of the federal, state, and local mandates concerning housing and community development. Sylvain readily accepted the challenge to provide leadership for unifying the City’s efforts in developing a comprehensive neighborhood housing recovery plan. Under his leadership, the City’s housing programs served as a national model for transformation. The U.S. Conference of Mayor’s recognized his efforts in the development of Fannie Mae’s “House New Orleans” a $1 billion Fannie Mae affordable housing initiative which provided affordable home loans for more than 10,000 families. Sylvain also received the conference’s “Excellence in Community Development” award, presented for the revitalization of the Treme’ neighborhood, with the New Orleans African-American Museum serving as its signature project. Bob Vila, host of HGTV’s Restore America, devoted a nationally aired segment on the City’s Treme’ revitalization initiative. Sylvain’s recognized expertise led to his appointment to the National Advisory Council on the Housing Authority of New Orleans by the United States Congress. HUD presented his office with several of its “Best Practice” awards. Under his tenure, the City recorded more than 21,000 home sales, provided repairs to the homes of more than 6,000 citizens, and removed more than 11,000 vacant houses from the City’s landscape. Sylvain has diligently worked with others to help bring major economic development projects such as Saulet Apartments, Venus Gardens’ Apartments, the American Can Company’s mixed-use residential facilities, Albertson’s Supermarket, Jazzland theme park and others to fruition. His efforts led to more than $1.7 billion of housing recovery activities into New Orleans’ economy. Former New Orleans, Mayor Marc Morial once called Sylvain “the architect of New Orleans housing recovery effort.”
